यस विद्यायलको नाम बाल जाग्रिति किन रहन गयो । यस कन्चनपुर जिल्लाको दक्षिण भेगमा रहेको साबिक त्रिभुवनबस्ति -३ मा २०५९ सालमा दलित समुदायको बाल बालिकहरु शिक्षा क्षेत्रमा सधै कमजोर भएको कारण पढाई बिचमा छोड्ने समस्या भएको कारण यस समुदायका बालबालिकाहरुले शिक्षाबाट बन्चित हुन नपरोस भन्ने सोचका साथ बालबालिकालाई जागरुक गर्ने सोचको साथ ( बाल जाग्रिति पाठशाला )को रुपमा साबिक त्रिभुवनबस्ति -३ का कक्षा ९ मा अध्यानरत दान बहादुर सुनार र राज कुमार बि क ले यस समुदायका बालबालिकाहरुलाइ सामाजिक सस्कार अनुसार तिहारमा खेलिने देउसि भैलो कार्यक्रम को आयोजना गरि देउसि भैलि कार्यक्रम गरि त्यस बाट उठेको रकमको एउटा अबिरल जाकरुक समुह निर्माण गरियो । त्यस पछि त्यसमा समुहको को केहि रकम बालबालिकालाई साझबिहान धुलो माटोमा खेल्ने समयलाइ सदुपयोग गर्नको लागि २०६० सालमा १५ नम्बर डाडा भनि चिनिने ठाउमा सानो टहरो निर्माण गरि बालबालिकालाई जागरुक गर्न भनि बाल जाग्रिति अनौपचारिक पाठशालाबाट नाम राखि पठनपाठन सुरु गरियो ।

In 2059 BS (2002/2003 AD), in the southern region of Kanchanpur district, within the former Tribhuwanbasti Village Development Committee (VDC) Ward No. 3, children from the Dalit community were historically lagging behind in education, leading to a high rate of school dropouts. To ensure that the children of this community were not deprived of education and to awaken them, Dan Bahadur Sunar and Raj Kumar B.K.—who were then studying in Class 9 in former Tribhuwanbasti Ward No. 3—came up with the idea to awaken the children.
They organized a traditional Deusi-Bhailo cultural program (celebrated during the Tihar festival) within the community. With the funds raised from this program, they formed an active awareness group.
